Diani sits on Kenya's south coast and gets two reliable monsoon wind seasons, so most of the year works for kiting.
Wind seasons: Diani has two monsoon kite seasons. The Kaskazi blows from the north-east roughly from December to March, and the Kusi blows from the south-east roughly from June to September — both usually building through the morning into a steady afternoon sea breeze. April–May and October–November are lighter and wetter, better for relaxed beach days than for guaranteed wind.
